The KACARE conducts activities and applications to serve sustainable development and provides recommendations regarding renewable and atomic energy at the national level. It plays a key role in planning the introduction of peaceful atomic and renewable energy technologies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including participation in the preparation of the national strategy for creating a balanced and sustainable national energy mix. The city develops the necessary plans for implementation, supports research and scientific partnership programs in this context, and works on developing the human capacities needed in the atomic and renewable energy sectors, as well as localizing the resulting industrial products. The city seeks to coordinate with its partners from government entities, scientific institutions, and applied research centers to exchange information and expertise, as well as to establish partnerships through scientific cooperation between the Kingdom and international scientific institutions.
