Overview of K.A.CARE

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) aims to be a leading center for innovations in areas​ related to the peaceful uses of atomic energy and renewable energy applications. It seeks to develop national competencies in the energy sector at the national level and enhance the localization of technology in these fields, contributing to the development of local content.

Establishment

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) was established by Royal Order No. (A/35), dated 17 April 2010 (3/5/1431 AH), as a legally independent entity with administrative and financial independence. K.A.CARE is organizationally affiliated with the Ministry of Energy and linked to the Chairman of its Board of Directors, with its headquarters in Riyadh.
