Nowadays, countries build their economies on knowledge. Experience and skills are acquired through practice. This requires the development of educational platforms that can connect with their audiences. This connection is through messages that are delivered in a clear and professional way, with variety in their content. From this idea, Mishkat Interactive Center launched “Wamda: The Interactive Program for Simplifying Energy Science". Mishkat presents this program in schools with creative content that combines theory and practice. It aims to spark curiosity among students, create a love for discovery, and turn classrooms into labs that inspire young minds.
Wamda Begins in Riyadh
Mishkat designed “Wamda: The Interactive Program for Simplifying Energy Science" to spread awareness of energy. It was developed in partnership with the Exploratorium Museum in the United States to reach more middle school students. The focus was on training science teachers in Riyadh.
The program was implemented in cooperation with the General Administration of Education in Riyadh. An intensive training was offered to around 843 teachers over 5 days at the center. The training was on multiple energy topics such as energy science, solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, and nuclear energy. Teachers also engaged in interactive experiments using simple materials available at the local market. Teachers were provided with booklets that explain the experiments and linked them directly to the middle school curriculum. This made the experiments easy to apply in the classrooms.
