Today, Monday 27th of Dhual Qa’dah 1435H corresponding to 22ed of September 2014, Mr. Yukiyo Amano, IAEA General Director, opened the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. At the event were present several delegation heads together with accompanying delegates to attend 58th inaugural session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. The Saudi delegation was headed by the President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), Dr. Hashim Abdullah Yamani. Those present at the inaugural session were K.A.CARE’s Vice-President Dr. Waleed Hussein Abulfaraj, the Saudi Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to the International Organizations in Vienna Mr. Mohammad Abdulrahman Assaloum, and a number of other officials as well. A number of participating Heads of Delegations delivered speeches on the occasion. On the sideline of the event, Dr. Yamani met with a number of participating Delegation Heads whereas developments and activities related to peaceful uses of atomic energy were deliberated. These meetings were attended by participating Saudi delegates to the IAEA General Conference.
