During the 58th General Conference of the IAEA Saudi Arabia was elected to the Board of Governors representing The Middle East and South Asia countries. This election represents the recognition of the Kingdom’s contribution to the work of the Agency, Saudi Arabia’s efforts in the field of nuclear security and in the peaceful uses of atomic energy. H. E. Dr. Waleed Abulfaraj, Vice President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy will be attending the first meeting of the new Board of Governors that will take place in Vienna on Monday 29th of September
