King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) is planning to organize a training course in the “Basics of Radiation Protection during the period 19/10/2014 – 30/10/2014 at KACARE’s HQs. The intended course drives at upgrading the knowledge levels of KACARE’s staff members in the area of “Basics of Radiation Protection”. The course also aims at the enhancement of their capabilities to put the basics of the course into practice, to take cognizance of the terminology used in this domain, and to boost their comprehension and analytical power in connection with basic elements to be reckoned with in endeavors to protect environment from radiation.
The outputs sought through the planned course are full familiarity with the basics of radiation protection , applications thereon in fulfilling the day-to-day tasks and assignments, as well as acquirement of those basic data and information which should qualify employees to cope with more concentrated courses in the same arena, such as inspection courses, to cite just one example. It may be worth mentioning that this type of courses will be organized for the second time this year, and that the course is one of the most important skill-based and knowledge-based courses carefully devised as to provide KACARE’s personnel with the maximal knowledge and practice in the arena of atomic and renewable energy.
