King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and Al Mediana Al Munawara Municipality signed yesterday a memorandum of joint cooperation in a meeting honored by the presence of His Royal Highness Faisal Ibn Salman bin Abdulaziz, the prince of Al Medina AL Munawara in the opening ceremony of the fifth International conference for the environment of 2015 cities at Tibah University in Al Medina AL Munawara.
The memorandum of understanding, signed by the vice president of K.A.CARE Dr. Waleed bin Husain Abu Al Faraj on behalf of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) and the Secretary of Al Medinah Al Munawara Province Dr. Khalid bin Abdulkader Taher on behalf of Al Medinah Al Munawara municipality , aims at carrying out a joint study to develop renewable energy system in Al Madinah Al Monawara area in an integrated manner, including the measurement of renewable energy resources and development of solutions and renewable energy stations in addition to developing education and technical training related to this field and discuss the development of industry and services relevant to renewable energy in Al Madinah Al Monawara area.
The memorandum of joint cooperation between the two parties focused on studying the uses of solar power in its various types in the facilities that belong to the municipality and determine opportunities available for application in the field of solar power such as lighting and cooling in addition to studying the use of wind power in its various types in the areas that belong to the municipality of Al Madinah Al Monawara area and defining available opportunities for application in this field.
K.A.CARE agreed with the municipality of Al Madinah Al Monawara In the memorandum of mutual understanding concluded between them to carry out a study and a comprehensive survey to determine available and suitable opportunities in the field of recycling and transforming waste into energy and studying the technical aspects in addition to developing an integrated visualization for the solutions of transforming waste into power in Al Medinal Al Monawara area in addition to carrying out a study and comprehensive survey to determine opportunities that are available and suitable in the field of geothermal energy and studying the technical aspects and developing an integrated visualization to the solutions of geo-thermal energy in Al Medina Al Monawara area.
