 H.E. the Vice President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), Head of the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the work of the 7th session of the General Assembly of the International Agency of Renewable Energy meets the Saudi

A meeting was held on Friday 15 Rabi'II 1438H (13th January, 2017G) between HE the Vice President of K.A.CARE, Head of the Kingdom's delegation participating in the work of the 7th session of the General Assembly of the International Agency of Renewable Energy (IRENA) Dr. Waleed Husain Abulfaraj with HE the Saudi Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Dr. Mohamad Abdulrahman Al-Bisher with the participation of a number of officials on the sidelines of the Agency's meetings which takes place in the Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi during the period 16-17 Rabi II 1438H. During this meeting a revision was made of the future trends of K.A.CARE initiatives in the scopes of atomic and renewable energy in light of the Kingdoms vision 2030 and National Transformation Program 2020, also reference was made to the Kingdom's futuristic efforts towards enhancing its effective participation in the activities of the International Agency for Renewable Energy.

It was also pointed out that the Agency includes in its membership 177 countries and endeavors to become the main driving force in encouraging other states to the rapid transformation towards the broad and sustainable use of renewable energy within its mix of energy resources. The Agency's functions are represented in facilitating access to all information related to the potentials of the renewable energy and benefitting from the best practices and effective financial mechanisms and the latest technical expertise, it also oversees formulation of new policies and strategies to detecting unknown powers in renewable energy around the world.
