 WITH AN OBJECTIVE TO ERECT A SUSTAINABLE RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR, KACARE’S DELEGATION NOW ON A VISIT TO FINLAND TAKES UP INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS, DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND TRANSFER AND LOCALIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY

With a view to create international partnerships, develop human resources and transfer and localize technology to ultimately build a sustainable renewable energy sector, KACARE’s delegation chaired by Dr. Waleed Abolfaraj now on a visit to Finland paid visits to a number of companies in Finland specialized in development of technologies, education and training in the field of atomic and renewable energy.
The Delegation commenced its agenda items by a visit to the Ministry of Education in Helsinki to familiarize itself with the latest and state-of-the-art developments of advanced educational and training systems, particularly in the field of energy. In the meantime, a joint meeting was held with VIT, the government arm for construction and development. The Delegation also paid a visit to the Ministry of Labor and Economy where it reviewed smart infrastructure facilities as well as energy and other challenges facing the two countries. The Delegation also held a workshop with Finish refrigeration companies.
Apart from that, KACARE’s Delegation visited waste-to-energy company, Fanta Energia, to get a first-hand view of Finland’s experience in waste management. Moreover, the Delegation also visited the facility housing the largest thermal pump producing coolants and heating water with a view to familiarize itself with the latest technologies taking place in cooling sector. In the meantime, the delegation also visited the Business Institute of Alto University to have acquaintance with business incubators and accelerators in operation there.
