KACARE commenced providing Government stakeholders in Renewable Resources Atlas with its introductory offers . Atlas Team have run a demonstration on Atlas Portal to the Central Department Statistics and Information in its Headquarters, in its capacity as a collaborating party in the Project. The demonstration covered a briefing on the importance of the Project and the services provided by the Portal of the Renewable Resources Atlas. Atlas is particularly important as it provides valuable assistance to the Government Agencies and decision-makers in drawing up their policies and implementing regulations which will be extremely helpful to them when implementing renewable energy projects throughout the KSA. It is also very helpful in identification of sites of power production sites, conducting feasibility studies, and analyzing the available quantities of available energy. The said Portal also provides such sensitive technical information and data as solar deflection, wind speed, temperature, etc. Currently, for example, Atlas provides varied and vital information covering power grid, population density, boundaries of the KSA, administrative areas borders, cities, highways, protected areas, the KSA map, altitude and earth deflection.

Moreover, KACARE also works closely with various government agencies such as the Ministry of Transportation, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saudi Wildlife Authority, Directorate-General of Military Survey, etc. with the objective being to make available and update Atlas-generated information and data. To mention but the least, Atlas Team is currently is currently closely working with partners thereof, within and without KA, to provide additional information covering airports, dams, water-wells, waste tips, and volcanic areas (harrat).
