11/5/2015

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, in collaboration with a number of local and international organizations, has completed the project of development of specifications of photoelectric solar plates.  The Project is but one of several KACARE’s initiatives to develop a sustainable renewable energy sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  To this end, for more than ten years,  the Working Group concerned at KACARE have conducted a thoroughly studies on the Kingdom’s climate conditions.  The Working Group has also analyzed data in connection with solar energy resources, leaning on data derived from the Renewable Energy Resources Measurement Project.  It further utilized the outcome of the in-door and out-door laboratory tests to simulate the Kingdom’s conditions.  In the course of the process, a  number of solar plates were installed in several sites.  The Working Group has also made use of the data derived from those solar stations available on energy resources Atlas website.  It is worth mentioning at this point to remind that KACARE’s Atlas website harbors a treasure of vital information and data related to energy within the Kingdom.
