Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammad Al-Suleiman, K.A.CARE’s Vice-President for Renewable Energy signed an agreement with Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafais, Governor of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, for hosting Solar Energy Resources Monitoring and Measuring Stations between King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.

Under the Agreement the said Corporation will host sixteen (16) stations allocated among technical colleges and secondary industrial institutes throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is noteworthy that these stations constitute a part of an overall network intended to monitor and measure renewable energy resources. K.A.CARE announced this last month when it launched the Atlas for Renewable Energy Resources involving more than seventy (70) stations dedicated to measure solar energy resources as well as (40) stations to measure Wind Energy. The objective is to identify those locations deemed suitable for various renewable energy technologies the City intends to introduce as a part of the network for electricity and water desalination in the Kingdom. All these synergical efforts go shoulder to shoulder to contribute to the creation of a sustainable future for the energy sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It goes without saying that the measurement findings of these stations will be made available to the staff members and personnel of the Corporation, and no doubt the net result will be a valuable and enriched asset for the personnel and for the students as well.
