 KACARE Delegation Visit to Germany and Spain

The City’s Team supervising the “Study of Impacts of Linking of Sustainable Power Stations with the Saudi National Grid” paid visits to internationally leading countries grids of which contain a high mix of atomic and renewable energies. Those present involved a high-ranking level of essential business partners from both public and private sectors working together in this strategic national project. Business mission included visits paid to both Germany and Spain during which the delegates familiarized themselves with planning, operation, and control processes established for electric power stations, specifically renewable energy from the viewpoints of both the grid operator and service provider. The Team members also reviewed the experiences and lessons learned by these States, and how solutions are being applied in a manner that keeps pace with developments taking place in the electricity sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The participating delegates highlighted the importance of such visits intended to maximize the benefit derived from international experience for all those who are involved in the Saudi power sector, which will positively contribute to the aspiration and implementation of the strategic plans of the Kingdom for both atomic and renewable energy.

As KACARE is desirous to display the outcomes of the above-mentioned Project, the City earnestly seeks to invite the viewpoints and opinions of interested parties.
