King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) intends to organize a training program titled “The Basics of Radiation Protection” over the period from Sunday 5 Rajab 1435 to Thursday 16 Rajab 1435, corresponding to 4 May 2014-15 May 2014. The planned Program aims at uplifting of the cognitive levels of the City’s personnel. To this end, it will introduce the basics of radiation protection. Furthermore, the Program is so oriented as to infuse into audience the ability to put into application the related basic concepts and to identify the glossary of terms used in the field of radiation protection. It will further enhance the analytical abilities in connection with environmental protection. It is hoped that the participants will ultimately be fully cognizant with the basics of radiation protection and adequately equipped and geared to readily apply these learned basics and concepts in future more concentrated training courses, such as inspection courses, for example.​
