King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy partook in the meetings of the IAEA’s Council of Governors held in its Vienna Headquarters during the period 2-5 May. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a member of the IAEA Council of Governors. The Kingdom’s delegation to the meetings was headed by KACARE’s Vice-President Dr. Waleed Hussein Abulfaraj.

​​ The meeting discussed the items placed on the agenda. The items included the requirement that all Agency’s state members be notified of the date when the 58th ordinary session of the general conference will be convened on 22 September 2014. It also reviewed the provisional agenda of the general conference. These meetings were complementary to the meetings the Council of Governors held early this year over the period 3-7 March 2014.
