9/4/2014

KACARE’s Vice-President, Dr. Waleed Hussein Abulfaraj, has today, 4 September 2014, signed a memorandum for joint cooperation with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jeddah Company for Development and Urbanization, Jeddah Mayor Dr. Hani Mohammad Aburas. The objective is to explore and discuss a mechanism envisaged to maximize the utilization of waste dumps, and, further, to devise and lay down the necessary plans and strategies for the implementation thereof.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has embarked on building a sustainable future through diversification and localization of its energy resources. It is worth-mentioning, too, that this exactly the very cause King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy has been established. This, in turn, shall greatly contribute to driving the development wheel ahead, as well as to the realization of sustainable development in the Kingdom. Instrumental in this process will be making use of sciences, research and peaceful uses of atomic and renewable resources-related industries. The final net result will be, God willing, raising of the living standard and improving the quality of life in the Kingdom.
