K.A.CARE hosted the first meeting of the national task force mandated to supervise the project of establishing of the Saudi Sustainable Energy Control Center (SSECC) project. This meeting resulted in an agreement on the road-map of the team’s next actions to evaluate the proposed consulting firms as well as to establish the second step of the project.

​​​ It is worth mentioning that in Jun 2014, K.A.CARE launched the first step of the project (RFQ). This step was the result of a one-year team-work collaboration with stakeholders. The team members are representing MoWE, ECRA, NGSA, SEC, and K.A.CARE. That year contained conducting multiple workshops, international visits to countries where the renewable energy share is considerable, and visits to multiple dedicated control centers for renewable energy; to assess the need and understand the relationship between these dedicated centers and the system operators (ISO/TSO).
